Wayuu creation

Inspired by the legend or myth about the Wayuu creation.

The Guajira, especially the Wayuu culture has a very particular charm because of its customs, pride, and rootedness to its culture and tradition.

In the beginning, up far away, only Mareiwa who was the creator God lived, Mareiwa was close to Kai who was the sun and next to Kashi the moon; also living with them was Juya who was the rain and down below was Mma the earth, who lived very alone.
The sun Kai had a daughter called Warattui (clarity) and the moon (Kachi) had two daughters called Pluushi (darkness) and Shulliwala (stars).

Kai fell in love with Mma, but could not touch her because it would burn her, so he asked Juya to wet her so the sun could kiss her and Juya, in his joyful song was a Juka pula juka a powerful ray that penetrated Mma and sprouted from her the Wayuu.

Mma was still sad; she wanted more children, then Juya kept singing and many rays fell; Mma gave birth to Wunulia plants of many shapes and sizes, but all were still and did not move. She continued to procreate and gave birth to her new children the muruulu, animals of different sizes to walk in the air, land, and water.
